Merrylands finished the NSW State Masters Long Distance Short Course Championships last weekend with State Champions in three events, and six medals in total.

Peter Johnston won both of his events, taking home gold medals in the 30-34yrs 1500m Breaststroke and 400m Breaststroke, with the fastest overall time in both events. Alison Sakurovs won the gold in the 25-29yrs 400m Individual Medley and took silver in the 800m Freestyle, while Ian Wilson took home two silver medals with 2nd place in the 45-49yrs 800m Freestyle and 400m Individual Medley.

A number of new personal best times were also swum at the meet.
