In conjunction with the council elections on Saturday, 9th September, Cumberland Council will ask voters for their opinion on the future of the swimming centres in the local area.

A "Yes" vote in the poll will help to ensure the local pools remain open and are properly maintained.

A "No" vote in the poll will most likely result in the closure of 2 or 3 of the pools in the local area.

The Club is encouraging the community to vote YES in the poll.

Club Members are encouraged to have their say by:
  • attending one of the Community Consultation Meetings and voicing your concerns about council closing pools, and the impacts this will have on you and your family
    • Monday 28 August 2017 – Granville Town Hall – 11am – 2pm
    • Tuesday 29 August 2017 – Merrylands Oval – 6pm – 9pm
    • Wednesday 30 August 2017 – Berala Terry Keegan Hall – 11am – 2pm
    • Thursday 31 August 2017 – Penulwuy Community Centre – 7pm – 10pm
  • discussing your concerns with candidates in the elections to ensure they consider your concerns in any decision council may make about the local pools
