Masters Excellence Program (MX)

The MX Program is designed to cater for swimmers who are interested in the competitive side of Masters Swimming. It recognises, rewards and encourages adult swimmers who, through their aquatic skills and fitness, achieve a high standard of swimming excellence.

Through the MX program, Masters Swimmers who accomplish set time standards qualify at Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze level. They then receive recognition, based on the level attained, by way of an award at the Annual Club Presentation Evening.

The MX program recognises performances from the 1st April to the 31st March each year.

To qualify:
  • All Merrylands Masters Members are eligible to participate in MX.
  • You need to achieve one or more of the MX time standards.
  • Times are based on the FINA distance and stroke events only and are calculated for long and short course times.
  • Times will be recognised from all swims at Masters Events listed in the Masters National Results Portal.
  • All times recorded by a swimmer are eligible, with only the highest level achieved being recognised.
  • The results are tied in with the point system on the Masters National Results Portal.
